(1) Know the basic principles of electricity and use it in carrying out day to day duties as Wireman.

(2) Significant differences between conductive, insulating and insulating materials will be communicated and used properly.

(3) Use various accessories of wiring system and repair or replace it if required.

(4) Prepare different types of wiring circuits.

(5) In compliance with Indian Electricity Rules and International Standard Code and shall perform such household and industrial wiring.
(6) Will ground electrical installations and equipment and measure earth resistance.
(7) Arrange, repair and maintain household electrical appliances.
(8) Understand the usefulness of the Alternator, transformer and

 D. C. generator.
(9) Measuring instruments like voltmeter, emitter, and energy meter will be connected to the electrical circuit and its observation will be recorded

(10) Measure the current and voltage through a clip-on meter.
(11) Wiring of different panels with controlling, starting and metering equipment, will be based on the I. E. rules.
(12) Connect, repair and maintain various industrial light fitting and street light fittings. 

(13)MOTORS & STARTER: Practice in connecting generators- Generators- Testing of D.C. Machines by Megger.

 (14) A.C. Generators, Motors & Starters Identification of Alternator of parts.

 (15) Demonstration and practice on A.C single phase motors starting and running for specific requirements.

 (16) Connect and run the A.C single phase and 3-Ph motors by using starters.

 (17) Preventive maintenance and routine tests. Fault location and remedy practice both in domestic and industrial wirings.

 (18) Planning, Estimation and Costing of Wiring Planning and Preparation of layout for domestic, commercial, Multi storied building wiring and workshop electrical wiring.

 (19) Basic knowledge of Solar panel and inverter wiring.
